How can I get to Stade Atlantique for the SEVENS international rugby tournament ?

From 5 to 7 June 2026, Bordeaux Métropole will host the World Finals of the international Rugby Sevens Series at Stade Atlantique. The event programme includes competitions, a fan zone, entertainment activities and concerts, with several thousand spectators expected over the three-days event. 
To make your journey easier and help reduce traffic congestion around the venue, visitors are encouraged to use public transport and active travel options whenever possible.

During this major public event, high levels of attendance are expected in the areas surrounding the stadium. To ensure a smoother journey, visitors are advised to plan their trips in advance, prioritise public transport, and allow extra travel time.

By bicycle : a convenient and secure access option

At Stade Atlantique

A free, secure bicycle parking area is available right next to the stadium, along Avenue de la Jallère. Visitors can travel to the venue by bike and park it safely on site.

Two-wheeled transport options

Bike sharing with TBM (Le Vélo)

More than 2,000 self-service bicycles are available across the metropolitan area, distributed over 180 “Le Vélo” stations operated by Bordeaux Métropole.

Le Vélo fares (bikes only):

  • €1 to unlock a standard bicycle 
  • €2 to unlock an electric bicycle 
  • Each unlock includes 30 minutes free of charge, then €0.10 per minute applies

Free-floating services

Within the metropolitan area, a fleet of 2,000 bicycles, 2,000 scooters and 700 mopeds is available through free-floating operators:

  • Pony: 1,000 bicycles and 1,000 scooters 
  • Dott: 1,000 bicycles and 1,000 scooters 
  • YEGO: 350 scooters 
  • E-Dog: 350 scooters 

For information, 50cc scooters are not permitted on the ring road (Article R413-19 of the French Highway Code).

Free-floating bicycles

To make cycling easier, Bordeaux Métropole is continuously expanding and improving its dedicated cycling infrastructure, including cycle lanes and tracks across the metropolitan area.

By public transport

The TBM network provides tram, bus and river shuttle services across the metropolitan area.

Visitors are advised to allow extra travel time to ensure a comfortable journey and to secure a place on board. This will also allow them to make the most of the atmosphere at the stadium.

Tram C > Parc des Expositions stop

  • From Bordeaux Saint-Jean station : approximately 34 minutes via Tram C 
  • From the city centre (Quinconces) : direct access via Tram C in around 15 minutes

Tram F > Porte de Bourgogne + Tram C > Parc des Expositions stop

  • From Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport : Tram F to Porte de Bourgogne, then Tram C to Parc des Expositions — approximately 1 hour 15 minutes total travel time

Where can I buy a transport ticket ?

Transport passes dedicated to the event

  • 24-hour Rugby Pass 
  • 48-hour Rugby Pass 
  • 72-hour Rugby Pass 

> Valid for the duration of the event.

  • Single journey ticket: €1.90 
  • “Stadium Pass” return ticket: €3.40 
  • 24-hour pass: €6.50 
  • 7-day pass: €17.50 

Tickets can be purchased remotely via the TBM website. You can also use the TBM m-ticket, which allows you to store your ticket directly on your mobile phone via the TBM app.

Accessible transport options for people with reduced mobility

Mobibus

The Mobibus service complements the TBM network by providing dedicated support for people with reduced mobility, travelling across the Bordeaux metropolitan area.
Mobi services 

  • Mobi’Guide: assistance and accompaniment on the tram and bus network with a trained professional 
  • Mobi’Dom (€3 per trip): pick-up and drop-off inside both the departure and arrival locations 
  • Mobi’Trottoir (€1.90 per trip): kerbside pick-up and drop-off service

By car and motorised two-wheel vehicles

The use of public transport is strongly recommended. However, access to the stadium by car or motorised two-wheel vehicles is also possible.

Follow the signage for “Stade Atlantique de Bordeaux” and the dedicated event route.

Public parking

The P5 Parc Expo car park, located in front of the stadium, is open to the public and subject to a fee of :

  • €15 for cars 

TBM Park-and-Ride facilities

Located near tram and bus lines, the 28 park-and-ride sites operated by TBM allow users to combine car and public transport to reach the Fan Village or the stadium.

Short-stay parking rates
Leave your vehicle in a park-and-ride facility (P+R) for 2 to 5 days at a reduced rate:

  • 2 days / 1 night: €12 
  • 3 days / 2 nights: €15 
  • 4 days / 3 nights: €20 
  • 5 days / 4 nights: €25

From Saint-Jean Station

To the city centre

  • On foot : around 30 minutes via a pedestrian route to reach the city centre 
  • Tram : approximately 12 minutes via Line C or D to Quinconces stop 
  • Bus Express Line G 
  • By bicycle : around 15 minutes 

To Stade Atlantique Bordeaux Métropole

  • Tram C: approximately 34 minutes towards Parc des Expositions stop. 

Note: A taxi rank is also available in front of the station forecourt.

From Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport

To the city centre

  • Approximately 45 minutes by tram 
  • Take Tram F to Hôtel de Ville stop 
  • Then take Tram B to Quinconces stop 

To Stade Atlantique Bordeaux Métropole

  • Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes by tram 
  • Take Tram F to Porte de Bourgogne stop 
  • Then take Tram C to Parc des Expositions stop
